How your money is used:

Funding our free counseling program for all women in Illinois:

Our program allows any woman who is in need of counseling, to receive our services, free of charge, regardless of economic status, being underinsured, undocumented, or being uninsured.

Funding our free support group program:

We reach women all over the United States and beyond through our virtual support groups. Your dollars are used to cover the cost of running these groups both in-person and virtually.

Training for our support group facilitators and volunteers:

With proper training for trauma informed and sexual and domestic abuse training, we can serve our clients to the best of our ability.

&Rise Fundraising Policy:

Policy Statement: And Rise Women Inc (&Rise). is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women and girl trauma and abuse survivors. All fundraising efforts conducted by the organization, including its staff, board members, and volunteers, are exclusively for the benefit of &Rise as a whole. Funds raised support the mission and core services of the organization, such as our free support groups, mentorship programs, and workshops.

Key Principles:

  1. Organizational Focus: &Rise does not fundraise for individuals, including clients, former clients, or individuals associated with the organization. Our fundraising efforts are focused on sustaining and growing the services we provide to our entire community.

  2. No Solicitation for Individuals: Staff, volunteers, and clients are strictly prohibited from soliciting donations on behalf of individuals during any &Rise-sponsored events, programs, or in our support groups. These spaces are intended to be a safe, therapeutic environment, and maintaining this boundary is crucial for our community's well-being.

  3. Third-Party Fundraising: While we appreciate the initiative of our supporters, &Rise reserves the right to review and approve all third-party fundraising activities that use our name or logo. Any such activity must be for the direct benefit of &Rise, and not for individuals.

  4. Referral for External Resources: We understand that individuals may have personal financial needs. While &Rise cannot provide direct financial assistance, we will continue to provide referrals and information on external resources or public assistance programs that may be able to help.

Compliance: This policy is in place to ensure fairness, transparency, and a clear focus on our organizational mission. Any questions regarding this policy should be directed to the &Rise Executive Director.
