 &Rise is a Chicago-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering women and girls who are survivors of trauma and abuse, including sexual, domestic, emotional, and psychological abuse. We provide a safe and supportive community, offering vital resources such as trauma-informed counseling, support groups, financial literacy training, career development workshops, and community events. Our survivor-led, people-not-profit approach centers on empathy, compassion, and a commitment to fostering healing and independence. At &Rise, we believe in the resilience of survivors and work tirelessly to help them reclaim their power and build thriving futures.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in empowering women and girls to be the ultimate versions of themselves despite their adversities, contributing directly to meaningful projects.

You'll develop valuable skills, build your professional network, and receive mentorship from experienced professionals. Internships are mutually beneficial, allowing us to gain fresh perspectives while you gain practical experience that can enhance your career trajectory.

Internships at &Rise can be short term or long term. We also offer hybrid and virtual options and we're flexible on your work hours as well. Please note that all of our internships are currently unpaid.
