Mutual Respect & Safety Policy

Effective Date: July 20, 2026

1. Our Commitment to Safety

At &Rise, we are deeply committed to providing a safe, empowering, and healing environment for our community members, volunteers, and internal team. To maintain this space, we require that all interactions—whether in-person, virtual, via email, or during support groups—be grounded in mutual respect.

2. Zero-Tolerance Policy for Disrespect

We have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of disrespect, harassment, or abuse directed toward our staff, facilitators, or volunteers. While we understand that our community members may be navigating difficult or traumatic circumstances, our team deserves to work in a safe and dignified environment.

Prohibited behaviors include, but are not limited to:

  • Verbal Abuse: Shouting, using profanity, insulting, or using demeaning language toward a team member.

  • Written/Digital Hostility: Sending aggressive, threatening, or harassing emails, direct messages, or texts.

  • Disruptive Group Behavior: Intentionally disrupting support groups, crossing boundaries, or exhibiting hostile body language in person or over video.

  • Threats or Intimidation: Any behavior that compromises the physical or psychological safety of our team.

3. Right to Terminate Services

&Rise reserves the right to immediately terminate services, revoke access to support groups, and cancel enrollment in any program if a client violates this policy.

  • Immediate Action: Depending on the severity of the behavior, services may be terminated immediately without a prior warning.

  • Finality: Once services are terminated due to a violation of the Mutual Respect & Safety Policy, the decision is final, and the individual may be barred from future &Rise events and programs.
